Saga Subsea AS was co-founded by Einar Tollaksvik to provide cost-effective solutions for subsea operations by utilizing the right equipment and methods.

Saga Offshore Wind AS was established as a separate entity, focusing on offshore wind development, diverging from Saga Subsea's core subsea operations.

As part of establishing Saga Offshore Wind and its focus on offshore wind development, Einar Tollaksvik joined the board of Norwegian Offshore Wind in 2018.

Heading the Norwegian Offshore Wind working group for Spain and Portugal

Leading the working group for NOW in Spain & Portugal was essential for gaining market insights, fostering key industry connections, and enhancing acceptance of Norwegian solutions in the region, positioning the company at the forefront of emerging offshore wind opportunities.

Winning the Gaselle Award for the 3rd time (2017-2019), as a result of achieving a selection of economy goals only reached by 1% of Norwegian Ltd. companies in one year.

2019

Einar Tollaksvik acquired Saga Offshore Wind and renamed it Vestervind Contractors, signaling a clear direction, distinct from Saga Subsea AS.

On behalf of the MetCentre and NOW, Initiated the cooperation project gathering 95% of Europe’s renewable test infrastructure and their leaders in Brussels to establish an identity under one umbrella for a gathered voice towards EU and the European Commission to improve European renewable test infrastructure. Position letter HiPoTesis signed by all the Test Centres, June 2024.

During the fall of 2024, Vestervind Contractors recruited a new core management team to strengthen leadership and support the co-founders.
